Silas Wood was formed in May of 2006 with a mindset to create
contemporary rock n' roll music, based on its members' diverse musical influences, ranging from southern blues, to hard rock and jazz.
Silas Wood is a trade name representing a musician formerly known as
Frederick Maloney and The Human I-Pod.
He covers the most songs in the state of New York ranging from
every style of music and moves into many forms of original creation, in which,
he has taken influences from writers such as Daniel Johnston and Elliot Smith.
Silas Wood is a firm believer in earth based real sound.
He doesn’t agree with the current recording methods and direction that
music has taken and hopes to pull music back into a writer’s aspect
that has been once lost and now turned to more smoke and mirror based writing. |
